Owakudani volacanic vally: is a volcanic valley in Hakone, Japan, known for its unique black eggs (kuro tamago), which are boiled in the area's sulphurous hot springs. The eggs turn black due to a chemical reaction between the iron in the spring water and hydrogen sulphide . They are cooked for about 60 minutes in water heated to 80°C (176°F) and then steamed for an additional 15 minutes.
